About

I am an visual artist and arts educator based in New York City. I use photography to explore how we respond to the challenges of every day life. I love sharing my passion for photography with others and have taught analog and digital photography to children, teens, adults and people with disabilities. I published my first photobook in 2016, Billable Hours in 6-Minute Increments, a humorous look at corporate culture in large New York law firms. The book was shortlisted for both The Anamorphosis Prize and the Fotobookfestival Dummy Award Kassel, and received special mention from The Anamorphosis Prize juror, John Phelan. It is in the permanent collection of the New York Museum of Modern Art and the Special Collections Section of the New York Public Library.

Before becoming a photographer, I was an civil rights attorney and traveled widely, advocating for the reform of criminal justice, juvenile justice, health care and foster care systems throughout the country.
